Teeth.

Jane went into the dentist for her first visit last week. She handled everything well and seemed to like wearing sunglasses inside and taking rides in the moving chair. She even let them do a full cleaning. Of course, her favorite part was getting new stuff: a new (princess!) toothbrush and toothpaste, and a toy from the treasure chest.

When we came home, she lined up all the toothpaste tubes and called me to come look at her "toothpaste collection."

Meanwhile, Grey. Grey's one-year molars are coming in, and the night before the dentist he was miserable. Then this already exhausted boy had to wait to take a nap so we could go to the dentist. When we came home, Grey crashed on his favorite blankets a few feet from the front door. He slept there for forty-five minutes.

Our kids are so close in age, it seems like we're always hitting the same milestones around the same time. Kathryn has her first official dentist appointment tomorrow and Josh's molars are popping in too.

Good job Jane!! And good job Grey for being a trooper through it all :) Jenna hasn't had an official trip to the dentist office yet. She gets a quick dental check by her Grandpa in his living room! Wish I could do that.

Way to go, Jane! I hope our first visit goes as well.

And Grey is so cute. Just so, so cute.

Good for both of you! I really need to schedule one for Jack. Your kids are so cute. When do you hear about the contest?

the dentist has always been a favorite destination for G. despite regular brushing, she is our cavity girl. her weak spot is the top of her top front teeth. i'd never seen cavities there before! so why, you ask, does she enjoy the dentist so much? it's all about lying back in the funky chair to watch a DVD on the ceiling!
