Love it! We had a slightly similar starting out soundtrack with the same 3 hymns in church.
Of course, we did get to have a few fun renditions of "My Flag, my flag, my country's flag" from exuberant Anna after learning that in primary the last few weeks.
Our afternoon was peppered with some rousing performances of favorites while watching the musical 1776, including "But, Mr. Adams" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYhjBcYnzvU), and "Is Anybody There?" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iMU-y2PNlo&NR=1).
Great musical, have you ever seen it? It's my yearly tradition. :)

-After church, taking pics of all the cousins in matching fourth of July outfits
-Followed by a 7 1/2 hr. car trip home
-Arriving home just in time to enjoy the neighborhood fireworks from the comfort of our driveway, sitting in camp chairs

oohed and aahed at fireworks displays after real salt lake crushed the new england revolution 5-0 and at our beloved sugarhouse park. budget cuts threatened no more fireworks at the park. community support resulted in the raising of $85,000 (enough to cover the cost this year and a great start for next year). i love my neighborhood.
willed (with what little optimism we could muster) hot air balloons to inflate at freedom festival for a few minutes before the wind won. the blasting of massive blow torches-the soundtrack of our pre-sunrise provo outing.
inspired by your creative blog to purchase ikea ribba ledges to create libraries of our large children's book collection in two separate hallways. our america
collection currently fills the back entry. we've been having a patriotic reading fest ever since. i'll post pics on my blog sometime soon. thanks for the great idea (easily half the cost of the same shelving at pottery barn).
reminded of how great 1776 is. i simply must retrieve my dusty copy from the English 11 file cabinet in my classroom.
