With warm sunshine and a clear blue sky, we escaped to charming Snohomish in search of some great gourds. It was a beautiful day on Craven Farm. Jane helped us choose pumpkins using her unique "tasting method," which she also used to test the corn in the field. Everything received the Jane stamp of approval.
The day couldn't be complete until we stopped in the Da Vinci Cafe & Bakery, a gluten-free bakery in north Seattle. Brad even shared some pumpkin ginger muffin and raspberry streudel with us wheaties, and we were grateful because they were as good as they looked. Now we'll see if my personal "Martha Stewart" can carve a pumpkin.

Pumpkins are great! I love this time of year! We have a couple of big pumpkins from our garden that I'm excited to carve.
She is so cute, it looks like she has quite the personality that keeps you laughing all the time.
