Flora spends quite a bit of time on the rug in our living room. She likes to watch the mobile spin in the corner, and watch the sunlight or canister lights on the ceiling, and catch a glimpse of her older brother or sister as they run around like they have the energy of the sun coursing through their veins. They crouch down by her often, making her smile or giving her surprisingly wet kisses. Flora likes being near the center of everything.
Flora has had misadventures on the rug too. Well, really just one I can think of: When her daddy left his watercolors out, and her mommy left the room for a minute, then came back because she heard Flora yelling (Flora yells a lot now, usually happily), and Flora looked like this

That's Paynes Grey, if you were wondering.
Mostly, though, Flora finds peace on the rug. And sometimes a glimpse of the television.

What a cutie! And I love how happy she looks with the paint.
She's getting so big!
Looks like she's going to have artistic talents like her parents!! Such a beautiful, happy, little face! Love it.
In my defense, she started out several feet away from my paints, and wiggled her way over. Fortunately she didn't get into the cadmium-based colors. Needless to say, I won't be leaving my paint unattended anymore.
Flora looks like Grey - she is really growing! Why do they grow so fast? I love them at all stages, but couldn't they stay teeny just a little longer?
So cute-you have beautiful children.
