Our family on SportsCenter
Monday night we met up with my parents and the kids to go to the Dodgers game.
But this was no ordinary Dodger game experience.
Thanks to my Great-Aunt Ronnie, we has season tickets in the dugout. She's the longest season-ticket holder in franchise history, so they give her incredible seats (even better than Tommy Lasorda's).
Awesome.
The experience includes pre-game dining in the Dugout Club and all-you-can-eat service through the seventh inning.
Jane impressed us all by eating her whole Dodger dog.

Over the past few years Dodger games have become quite the place to spot celebrities. Here's Mario Lopez after throwing the first pitch.

I resisted telling her what I think about her open hearts collection. Universal symbol of hope and love? That's a bit ambitious, don't you think?
Here are a few other celebrities who we saw, but don't know. You can tell they are celebrities because they stand up and wave before they leave. I should have tried it myself.
My guess is sports figure.
This is definitely a movie exec or somebody big. According to my aunt Ronnie, there are always people walking down to shake hands with "the Mexican man." My guess would be Jewish, but we have no clue who he is. Anybody?
This is turning out to be a fun summer tradition.

We are cracking up about the open hearts thing because we've had the exact same discussion :) Looks like a very fun night at the ball park!
Look at you guys hobnobbing with the big stars. That's pretty incredible about your great-aunt Ronnie.
And I've never even heard about this open heart thing till now, so it's clearly going to take a while till it is a universal symbol of anything. Besides a heart.

baseball, dodger dogs, and celebrities... it looks like you had quite an "i love l.a." experience! great aunt ronnie-i can't help but wonder if there's a screenplay for writer meg somewhere there. probably because it reminds me of fever pitch. if you haven't seen it, you absolutely must. good humor.
i loved devouring dodger dogs with stan and the boys back in college when i spent spring break with them year after year. good times...
