Christmas Afterglow

Christmas presents for Jane, 2007.

We feel so blessed by the generosity of our families this Christmas. Jane was breathless as she went downstairs and saw the tree with a new baby just for her, and unwrapped Little People (she calls them her "friends") and My Little Ponies and cute new clothes and a songbook we will all enjoy for years to come. When we came home to Seattle, Second Wave Christmas started on New Year's with wooden toys from Grandma and Grandpa Gibson. She loves to chop the food, demonstrate how to hammer the pegs, and most of all, make up improv songs while she places alphabet letters in their proper places.
This video is the "grandparents cut," meaning it might seem too long to many of you, so don't feel bad if you don't finish it (you can stop after Jane laughs and be fine). But for you grandparents etc. who can't get enough of Jane or see her in person right now, this one's for you.



Christmas was great for Brad and me too--we love our new camera and Adobe Creative Suite, and look forward to doing something fun with Christmas money. Brad carefully chose an excellent chef's knife for me, and using it has been a dream. I'm sure to rave about it in posts to come...
